REDEMPTIVE/DESTRUCTIVE EVENTS OF GOD

W e are living in a time when God’s patience upon sinners have come to an end: He is now

pouring out His wrath, fury and indignation. He is facing men, women, boys and girls up - Will they repent of their sins or will they stiffen their necks and harden their hearts more against their Creator?

It is the Living God that has set the standards for His created people to walk in and live by. While He has given us a “free will”, there are times when He overrides this and moves both individuals and nations as pleases Him. His redemptive and destructive acts and events are recorded in the Bible.

I want to share a few with you now.

First, let it be established that, “It is God who sits above the circle (the horizon) of the earth, and its inhabitants are as grasshoppers; it is He who stretches out the heavens like (gauze) curtains and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in; Who brings dignitaries to nothing, Who makes the judges and rulers of the earth as chaos (emptiness, falsity, and futility)”. (Isa. 40: 22, 23 Amp. Bible)

“He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might, He increases strength (causing it to multiply and making it abound.)” (V. 29)

What Isaiah is saying, under the inspiration of the Spirit of God, is that the Almighty does what He wishes, purposes, plans, to whom and when it pleases Him. In other words, GOD IS IN CHARGE... even over man’s/woman’s free will when He sees that sinners have gone far enough (against His standards of conduct, as they ARE NOW !!!), then He withdraws His longsuffering, mercy, patience, and tolerance; He brings upon those sinners His sore displeasure (only a blind and dumb person cannot see/hear what is being done in earth today).

Jeremiah

Jeremiah the Prophet, under the inspiration of the Spirit tells us this: “I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by My Great power and by My outstretched arm, and I give it to whomever it seems right and suitable to Me.” (Jer. 27:5) The Prophet continues, “And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon, My servant and instrument, and the beasts of the field also I have given him to serve him”. (v. 6) Note verse 7 : “And all nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, UNTIL the (God-appointed) time (of punishment) of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.”

Well, according to Bible accounts and pagan accounts, this literally happened.

What am I saying? I am saying what the Holy Spirit is saying to us now - America’s time of flaunting sin in God’s face is over! He is now releasing His judgments upon this land. And Sodomy, with all its forms, is among one plague. While these strutting perverts -GLBTQP’s think it is God’s blessings to them, they are merely being used by God for, like this pagan king, a season of punishment upon this (once God-fearing) nation. Since these perverts refuse to repent themselves, God will use them and their filthiness to punish this land- hoping the inhabitants will repent.

Gays: God’s Servants?

Yep! No doubt about it... but not forever.

Just as we read in Jer. 27:6, “...Nebuchadnezzar...My servant and instrument (weapon),” we also find the same thing in v. 43:10: “...Nebuchadnezzar,... My servant (because he works for Me), and I (through him)...” (Amp. Bible)

You see, God can use any one, any nations, anything that pleases Him. Although the sodomites are ABOMINATION, God is using them because of this very fact... to shove their vileness into the face of this nation. America has wanted vileness, now God is shoving it down America’s throat!! No escape (yet).

Again in Jer. 25:9 we read, “...I will send for Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon, My servant (agent to fulfill My designs)...” (Amp. Bible)

Isaiah 45:1 records the changing of the “servant”: “Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held to subdue nations before him...”

You see, pagan idolaters are used by God when necessary. Cyrus, as was Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, God’s “Shepherd, (ruler), and he shall perform all My pleasure and fulfill all My purpose...” It was Darius and Cyrus of the Medes and Persians that God used to replace Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Babylon punished Jerusalem for their rebellion/idolatry/adultery against God, now God’s “Shepherd” and “Anointed” that will bless Jerusalem, “...saying of Jerusalem, She shall again be built, and of the temple, your foundation shall again be laid.” (Isaiah 44:28)

So. . .

Do you think that God still acts and reacts today as He did yesterday? Do you think that a Righteous and Holy God is going to tolerate all this GLTBQP filth here in good Ol’ USA? Do you think He is going to overlook all the “false flag” operations/wars executed by the C.I.A./ military over the decades? Do you think the Living God is going to turn His face away from the 60 million aborted babies since 1973? The list is long folks; long enough to know that America has ONE HELL of a JUDGMENT in store. Safe to Say

Dr. D.A. Carson (Ph.D., Cambridge Univ.) has written, “It is safe to say that the central line of evangelical thought on the truthfulness of the Scriptures has entailed the adoption of the concursive theory: God in His sovereignty so superintended the freely composed human writings we call the Scriptures that the result was nothing less that God’s Words and, therefore, entirely truthful.” (Collected Writings on Scriptures, 2010, p. 105).

Some have a hard time with this. They say that it is illogical to defend simultaneously the concursive theory in Bibliology and the free will defense in theodicy (“theodicy” is derived from the 2 Gk. Words meaning “deity” and “justice” and refers to the attempt to justify God’s goodness in the face of the evil present in the world.)

The shooting at Orlando is seen strictly as an evil act by an evil person, yet, we know it was God’s vengeance upon the homos for their abomination. God allows men free will yet violates it when He pleases. Evil is necessary element in the creation of free beings, some say.

What does God mean when He says in Isa. 45:7 “I form the light and create darkness; I make peace (national well-being. Moral evil proceeds from the will of men, but physical evil proceeds from the will of God), and I create (physical) evil-calamity; I am the LORD who does all these things.” (Amp Bible) This verse relates to v. 4: “For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.” This verse relates to the ones already discussed in Isa 44:28 and 45:1. Cyrus, the deliverer from evil (Heb. “ra” = calamity; Israel’s “evil” was physical, death for many and years of imprisonment!) It was God who sent the King of Babylon to exercise “evil” (ra) upon Jerusalem. It was God who sent the Assyrians ( as the “rod of My anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation and fury”) against Israel’s disobedience!!. (Isa.10:5).

God calls Israel (the 10 Northern tribes) “a hypocritical nation, a godless nation, and against the people of my wrath” (Isa.10 v.6). I challenge my readers to finish this verse, see what God commanded.

Also note verse 7, “However, this is not his intention (nor is the Assyrian aware that he is doing this at My bidding), neither does his mind so think and plan, but it is in his mind to destroy and cut off many nations” (note how this Assyrian king boasts in vv. 8-11. He thinks it is himself, very unaware that God is directing his mind, heart, and body to do God’s War, not his own.)

Note also what follows in vv. 12-14 - read that if you will. Finally, in v. 15, God has had enough of the king’s boasting: “ Shall the ax (the king’s army) boast itself against Him who chops with it?” (God’s hands). Verse 18 tells us the end of the story, the Lord will destroy Assyria forever.

Weapon of Mass Destruction!

One day, after Obama was elected President, God told us that he would be a “weapon of mass destruction”. This has certainly come to pass. “But why” you ask, “would a holy God allow, even command, Obama to do all this EVIL?” Scriptures already tells us - for punishment; when He is finished with this psycho, God will dispose of him!!

Are the Scriptures True?

Sure they are. Human activities (such as what we’ve looked at) can be totally controlled by God and for God without (painfully) violating human freedom. Of course, this fact stands in contrast to free will defense.

Death of Jesus

The death of Jesus is confusing to some: Why did God allow His only begotten Son to die in such a horrid manner? The death of Jesus is presented as a “conspiracy” of leaders of Jews and Gentiles (see Acts 4:27 where Herod, Pontius Pilate, Gentiles, and the people of Israel is mentioned together); yet those leaders “did what God’s power and will had decided beforehand should happen” (Acts 4:28). Here God is not presented as a chess player who outsmarts His opponents by anticipating and allowing for their every move. The conspirators DID what the Lord Himself decided beforehand should happen.

Some liberals have a hard time with this, “Why should the conspirators be punished for obeying God?”, they ask. We’ve already seen this. God uses men, (even evil, pagan men) to exercise evil upon other evil, guilty men (and nations) and are still held guilty. In the case of Jesus, the Jews were already set against Him; evil hearts and hands were evident. God merely use what was already there. He did not put evil/sin in their hearts, they were already sinful (He came to redeem Israel from their sins - remember?)

One scholar argues that if the concursive theory is required in the case of Jesus, why may it not be permitted elsewhere? Is it possible for any true theist with any degree of consistency to believe Rom 8:28 while arguing against a concursive theory of inspiration? You see, theodicy has other options than free will defense.

Changing His Mind

One last point: God can change His mind (when repentance of the guilty is sufficient).

God is exercising His wrath upon the nations of this world and upon individuals... hoping for the guilty to repent. This is God’s love in ACTION!! Exodus 32-34 depicts God changing His mind in response to the prayer of Moses. God’s nature is both “love” and “hate” (write for our 2 magazines called The Wrath of God - free)

There is no problem between God’s mercy and His wrath: both are His. Why, then, should these polarities be viewed as a problem? God’s nature allows Him the freedom to exercise both at will. The disparate emphases regarding His nature leave us with a Wonderful, Mighty, Holy, Divine, Righteous, and Loving God who is utterly Sovereign and Transcendent ( that is, above space and time), yet who interacts with humans in our space and time. He is not distant; He is distinct.
